The kitchen is a functional area for cooking and preparing, but it also carries an aesthetic quality due to the oversized picture window showcasing the grandeur of the mountains, as well as peek a boo views through clerestory windows. The cabinets are two-toned, with a white matte cabinet in the kitchen surround contrasting with a warm lighted patterned wood-like cabinet on the island. Ghost chairs from Phillip Starck and a glass pendant with frosted rings etched around, complete this majestic looking chef’s kitchen.

Although the Kitchen is functional element of the home, it can create a visual treat with walls of glass to bring in the vibrant and majesty of the St. Jacinto Mountain range. Every element of the kitchen becomes a complementary player, never upstaging the outdoor environment to complete this cohesive design.

The Bloom designed by Brian Rasmussen for Light4 is highlighted by creating an alcove in the ceiling to give the illusion that the fixture is descending from the sky. The illumination provided by the chrome tipped light bulbs gives an ethereal presence to the area.

The focal feature of this master bathroom retreat is a beautiful tub from Victoria+Albert, which stands prominently behind a glass tile from Ann Sacks, creating the illusion of water cascading down into the tub. The tub filler from Axor Design by Phillipe Starck provides the perfect juxtaposition of hard and soft lines.

The master bath shower has its own identity but still shares in the concept of minimalism in harmony with nature. The Raindance Rain Fall shower head has 2 separate functions depending on your mood, you can feel like you are being touched by a steady rain or you can feel the cascading movement of a waterfall embracing you. We wanted to make you feel that you were in a tropical getaway without leaving your home.

Your guest’s experience should be relaxing and this shower provides that. We wanted to feel that whoever uses this shower feels one with nature, with a floor to ceiling picture window framing a desert garden, punctuated by a bright orange hued focal wall. The oversized rain shower head from Hansgrohe will refresh the body and senses. The wood plank ceramic tiles gives a natural warm texture, contrasted with the matchbook tile with a white iridescence.

Hansgrohe faucet

The beauty and simplicity of this bathroom design is personified in the selection of Hansgrohe faucets and shower components. Each as a level of minimalist design that melds perfectly with the surroundings. We chose the Metris widespread faucet because the handles have a soft rounded feel and unobtrusive look, pairing perfectly with the above counter square vanity basin. The hand shower wand is simple yet refined, carrying a magical quality. It can simply transport you to desert paradise by one intense spray of water.
