First Impression

First Impressions are a hallmark of interpreting what an image or event makes you feel and how engaged a person. The reveal is a big part of design, the pleasing sensation you feel as you visually engage with the environment. This asymmetry of the walkway, the contrasting ground cover, the vivid colors are a few of the sensory elements we wanted to use to engage the audience, welcoming them to a visual feast that awaits them inside.

The orientation of the backyard allowed us to take advantage of the beautiful mountains views throughout all different spaces. You can lounge around the fire pit during chilly nights, or lounge near the pool during the temperate desert days. The possibilities are endless in this gorgeously reimagined exterior space.

The congregation space for this exterior space is the fire pit seating area, a location for warming yourself or for just lounging and enjoying the scenery. Ample seating is critical for good design, and this space shows it well.

The sensory experience continues in the Great Room, created through interesting and geometric wallpaper sourced from Harlequin/Sanderson Design Group. The kitchen reveals gloss finish cabinets in a olive wood finish, melding swimmingly with the adjacent colors and textures The vintage pieces curated for this interior space are courtesy of master furniture designers Adrian Pearsall & Kodford Larsen.

The Arccos collection from Harlequin/Sanderson Design Group highlights this amazing living space, creating a conversation piece to highlight the soaring ceiling of this post and beam Charles Dubois, AIA designed Alexander home. The modern finish is complemented by the vintage pieces like the C Jere Sunburst art piece, as well as the teak from the Scandinavian buffet cabinet. The anchor is a beautiful modern rug with organic pattern by Jaipur Living.

Even though a kitchen may have a small footprint, that doesn’t mean that you cannot create a spacious area. Utilizing interesting finishes and textures, the two-toned design creates spatial awareness to buttress the feeling of encroachment. Sourcing cabinet finishes from ALVIC USA in the LUXE collection, the Olivio & Cobalto interplay nicely to present a visual representation of earth & water.

We outfitted this reimagined kitchen with appliances from Miele USA, showing the elegance and luxury of cooking in style. Punctuated by an Axor Design Starck kitchen faucet in a Brushed Brass Special Finish, this kitchen screams “I’m expensive, but worth it”!

Your bathroom should be functional yet aesthetically pleasing to create your sanctuary. Utilizing different shapes, patterns and textures, all married through a muted palette, the master bathroom succeeds in calling attention without screaming loudly. Sourcing mustard colors from the Scion Wallpaper, and warm tones from the Olive wood cabinets, toned by the gray hues from the concrete porcelain tiles and penny rounds surrounding the bathroom, this is a space worthy of an Instagram moment.

Guest Hospitality

The old adage is do not make your guests so comfortable in your home that they extend their welcome. Well, it still does not stop from creating a creative and cozy space for them to relax. Utilizing a humid friendly wall-covering in vinyl from Harlequin , the textural interplay with the tile and cabinet finishes is visually striking yet tonally soothing.
